OYO Brings European Vacation Rental Brand Dan Center To India

Oravel Stays, the parent company of travel technology firm OYO, has introduced its European holiday home brand, DanCenter, to the Indian market. The brand’s debut in India begins with luxurious villas in Siolim, North Goa. This marks a significant expansion of OYO’s footprint in the country’s hospitality sector.

DanCenter: A Legacy In Holiday Home Rentals

Established in 1957 in Denmark, DanCenter has over six decades of experience in the holiday home rental industry. The company manages a diverse portfolio of approximately 12,000 properties across Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Germany.

These properties range from cosy cottages to expansive villas, catering to a wide array of traveller preferences. Offering vacation homes that blend Scandinavian-inspired aesthetics with modern comforts, catering to travellers seeking stylish yet practical stays.

Oyo’s Strategic Expansion In The Goa Market

DanCenter, a Danish company with over 60 years of experience in holiday home rentals was acquired by OYO Vacation Homes in 2019. After the acquisition, the brand has grown significantly in Europe. Thus building on its strong reputation for Danish design—celebrated for its simplicity, functionality, and elegance.

The decision to introduce DanCenter to India aligns with OYO’s strategy to diversify its offerings and cater to the evolving preferences of Indian travellers. Goa, renowned for its scenic beaches and vibrant culture, is an ideal starting point for DanCenter’s operations in India. These include newly launched villas in Siolim, North Goa, which are designed to provide guests with luxury and comfort, ensuring a memorable stay experience.

Aditya Sharma, the Luxury Business Head at Oravel Stays Ltd., expressed enthusiasm about the launch, stating, “We are excited to bring DanCenter’s unique vacation home experience to India starting with Goa. There is a growing demand for luxury holiday home rentals in India, and we think it is the right time to introduce the DanCenter experience to our guests in India.”

Future Prospects Of Dan Center In India

Beyond its initial offerings in Goa, DanCenter is actively exploring opportunities to expand its presence in India. The brand is in advanced discussions with the Provident Group, a prominent real estate developer, to launch premium serviced apartments in Goa. This collaboration aims to cater to the increasing demand for upscale accommodations among both domestic and international travellers.

Arjun Singh Meena, Business Head of DanCenter India, highlighted the brand’s commitment to quality. He stated, “DanCenter’s launch in India is more than just an expansion,it’s about introducing a time-honoured Danish tradition of premium holiday home rentals to a market that is rapidly evolving. Indian travellers today seek more than just accommodation; they desire personalized, high-quality experiences in well-managed, luxurious spaces. With our legacy of over six decades in Europe, we bring deep expertise in curating exceptional vacation stays.”

OYO’s launch of DanCenter in India is a strategic move that aims to meet the growing demand for premium holiday homes.
