About SBI Funds Management
SBI Funds Management is the investment manager of SBI Mutual Fund and also provides advisory services to offshore clients. Its IPO is among the most closely tracked listings in India’s asset-management industry, given its position as the country’s largest asset manager.
The company’s listing is also notable because the issue is a promoter stake sale, not a capital raising exercise for business expansion.
Conclusion
The reduction in SBI Funds Management’s IPO size to ₹9,813 crore comes after a ₹1,880 crore pre-IPO placement. It is not because of any weak demand or a lower valuation.
Since the marquee investors picked up shares at ₹574 each, the upper end of the IPO price band, the focus now shifts to retail subscription demand when the SBI Funds IPO opens on July 14, 2026.
