The marketing department of Bira has seen a major change as Vishal Gaba has stepped down from his position of CMO(Chief Marketing Officer).  

“Bidding farewell to Bira 91 after an amazing 2.5-year roller-coaster ride. Grateful for the learnings, experiences, memories, and the people I worked with. Will continue to root for the brand!” He recently announced this news through a LinkedIn post. 

During his 2.5-year stint, Vishal Gaba led all the marketing and communication for Bira 91 where he led the internal communications, CRM, performance marketing, influencer engagement, experiential marketing, social media, creative, and media buying.

He played a major role in driving key decisions toward:

  • Creating brand awareness
  • Generating Trials
  • Enhancing Corporate Reputation &
  • Driving Sales for Bira’s merchandise store. 
     

Vishal Gaba’s Career Trajectory

With over 16 years of experience in Marketing and Digital Communication, Vishal has worked in the following spaces:

  • Led all communications @ Bira 91 – Digital & Performance Marketing, PR, Media Buying across platforms, Creative & Brand Content, Experiential Marketing, Influencer Marketing, CRM and Internal Comms for the brand.
  • Led the Digital practice of India’s leading integrated marketing communications firm, Genesis BCW (WPP Group). Developing and scaling new services – Influencer Marketing, MarTech, Employee Advocacy, Voice Technology. 
  • Founded and scaled India’s first social network for movies, Movified, with a reach of over 10 Million online.
  • Led strategy and growth as an Advisor at The Social Booth, a fast-growing digital marketing agency.
  • Counseled diverse Indian and multinational businesses on, Marketing Communications, Issues, and Crisis, Brand Messaging, Digital Marketing, Influencer Engagement.


While working in all these spaces, Vishal also got awarded in the following categories:- 

  •  PR Week Awards Asia 2015: Nominated amongst the top 5 PR professionals in APAC under 30 years.
  • 30 under 30: Chosen amongst the Top 30 Public Relations professionals under 30 years in India by PR Moment.
  • 40 under 40: Chosen amongst the Top 40 Digital, Marketing, and Media Professionals under 40 years in India by Social Samosa.

After Bira 91, Vivek joined Push Sports, a sports tech start-up. The brand recently got featured in Shark Tank India. Here Vishal will be heading the:-

  • Strategic marketing initiatives. 
  • Emphasizing brand development & Activation. 
  • Advertising, and consumer advocacy.

The Future of Bira:$25Million Funding to Expand Manufacturing
