Home›Blog›Shriram Finance Q4 FY26: What Could Lift Valuation After the Sharp Rally?

TL;DR

Shriram Finance delivered a strong Q4 FY26 with net profit up about 41% year-on-year. Not just the metric of NIM also improved to 8.61%, and AUM crossed ₹3 lakh crore. Looks like Shriram finance sees further valuation upside with  stable margins.

Introduction

The Shriram Finance share has good signs of profitable Q4 FY26 performance. And this is why investors are looking beyond the headline numbers. The company has reported net profit of ₹ 3,013.57 crore, revenue of Rs.12,509 crore, NII of ₹ 6,994.08 crore, and AUM of ₹ 3,02,273.75 crore in Q4 FY26. This is just a picture of how the core business remains strong.

As of April 27,2026, the share price of Shriram Finance is trading at ₹ 974 which is a 3.7% decline despite a steep rise of 41% year-on-year in quarter 4 of FY 26. The stock is facing pressure because the management is cautious about MSME segment stress.

Why Q4 FY26 Matters For The Shriram Finance Share

Fourth quarter of FY 26 was strong enough to strengthen the bullish view on the company’s operating momentum. Net profit increased to ₹ 3,013.57 crore and the company also reported a good revenue growth to ₹ 12,509 crore from ₹11,454 crore.

Q4 financial results matter because steep growth boosts market confidence, especially when it comes to lending businesses. The board also recommended a final dividend of ₹ 6 per share, taking the total FY 26 dividend to ₹10.80 per share according to reported updates. (Source: Investywise)

What Could Lift Valuation From Here

1. Sustained growth visibility:

As a common mindset, the market will reward Shriram Finance on the condition that the current momentum will continue to FY27. Sustainability will be for long and not for just one quarter. As a standard practice, investors look more for Asset Under Management expansion, consistency in disbursement, and earnings before assigning a higher multiple.

2. Healthy disbursement trend:

If for Shriram Finance, the loan disbursement is unaffected, it will indicate that demand is intact across the lending franchise. It is a crucial factor because, a growing loan book supports future interest income and keeps the earnings engine active.

3. AUM expansion without dilution in quality:

AUM growth is positive only when it comes with disciplined underwriting. If the company can scale the book while keeping credit costs under control, valuation confidence improves materially.

4. Margin Stability:

The slight improvement in NIM is encouraging, but the real test is whether Shriram Finance can hold spreads despite funding pressure, competition, and changing rate conditions. Stable margins tend to support better return ratios and a stronger market view.

Why does the Rally also raise the Bar?

After a sharp stock rally, markets usually become less impressed by one strong quarter and more focused on what comes next. That means the Shriram finance share may need a combination of continued profit growth, stable asset quality, and predictable guidance to justify another leg of rerating.

Put simply, investors will now want proof that growth is sustainable, not just cyclical. In NBFCs, valuation expansion usually depends on confidence in both return ratios and credit discipline, not only on headline profit growth.

Conclusion

Shriram Finance’s Q4 FY26 numbers were strong, with profit rising about 41%, NII improving, NIM holding firm at 8.61%, and AUM crossing ₹3 lakhs crore. But after the recent rally in Shriram Finance share, the next leg of upside may depend on whether the company can sustain growth, prevent fall of margins, and maintain asset quality through FY 27.
